Bearing is used on many machines which operate by circular motion, that is, axial motion. Mechanism of Tapered Roller Bearing
Tapered roller bearing of sectional construction has almost no edge stress. Contact between the rolling ways and rollers are ideally set. These bearings can carry axial loads in a single direction. If it is required according to the function and characteristic of the machine, one tapered bearing roller may also be used as counter support.
However, it should not be disregarded that heat formation during operation may affect length of shaft. As it is, sufficient gap should be left. And distance of the second bearing to the work should be kept short. This setting should be made during the first assembly related to the counter bearing. Regular and aligned placement will have positive effect on quality and lifetime of the bearings.
